Our icon

Our icon is Meg Jones. Meg was diagnosed with a grade II glioma in 2004. She had successful neurosurgery in Boston, USA in the summer of 2007, aged 21.

Our committee

Our committee includes our Trustees, Founders, Fundraiser, Committee Members and Scientific Advisor. Together we have wide and varied experience. We are very lucky to have such an excellent range of professional expertise involved to direct and facilitate the charity's development.

Trustees

• Dr. Mark Shackelford of Reading, Berkshire – professional project manager and visiting research fellow at the University of the West of England, Bristol.
• Prof. Judy Sebba of Brighton, Sussex – professor of education at the University of Sussex, Brighton.
• Josh Hill of Battersea, London – the youth representative, a fundraiser for a theatre company. He designed this website and is the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
• Catherine Fitton of Winchester, Hampshire - graphic designer. She designed our logo and typesets all our excellent newsletters, leaflets and booklets.

Founders

• Dr. Helen Bulbeck – our Director, who keeps everything shipshape at HQ, coordinates events, writes newsletters, liaises with the media and provides advice to patients and their families on the telephone.
• Peter Bulbeck – our Administrator, he ensures all the charity's paperwork is in order and also provides all our trust's accounting.

Fundraising and Development

• Victoria Green – our new Fundraising and Development Executive joined brainstrust in June 2008 bringing 10 years of experience in charity fundraising and corporate sponsorship working for Guide Dogs Association and Southampton University.
