Save Tania's Brain

Tania and RyanTania was diagnosed with a brain tumour in January 2007. Since then she has struggled to look after her family of four children, two of whom are disabled and who are dependent on Tania. She has been told that her tumour is inoperable in the UK. But one of the world’s leading neurosurgeons, Professor Peter Black, has seen Tania’s brain scans and can operate – in Boston USA.

Professor Black is one of the top 10 doctors in the USA. He is based at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston and he performed Meg Jones' successful neurosurgery in June 2007. Prof Black is a patron of brainstrust and has pioneered the use of intra-operative MRI neurosurgery. His team perform 3 operations a week using this technology.

Tania needs this surgery – she is severely hampered by her illness and just wants to be able to support her family again. brainstrust has one story of hope. Let’s make Tania our second.
