26 May 2008
Alison Keen and Julie O'Grady will be doing their bit for brainstrust. Alison's son Jonathan, now 18, was diagnosed with an oligodendroglioma brain tumour in July last year. The tumour had made Jonathan a very aggressive and angry person, but fortunately it was discovered in time. The tumour was the size of a tennis ball and the surgeon Mr Shad successfully removed 95% of the tumour at Coventry University Hospital. After a course of chemo and radiotherapy Jonathan now has a bright future and his personality has settled back to the loving, caring, fun loving son Alison almost lost. Now Alison and Julie are running the BUPA London 10,000. You can sponsor them on thier Justgiving page » |
