Meet Up for children with a brain tumour and their carers
Now we know you have a really difficult job.
Looking after a child with a brain tumour is like nothing else. We know how isolating it can feel, and tiresome it gets holding everything together for the family. So we’d love you to take this opportunity to meet others whose lives have been similarly touched by a brain tumour.
Join our community at the first Meet Up for carers of children with a brain tumour on the 10th Feb 2013 at Pizza Express, Milbank, London. We'll be meeting from 14.30. You can meet other parents and carers and share mutual support and experiences and ideas over pizza, on us.
We know from experience that carers value the opportunity to chat in an informal, non-clinical setting:
It was so great to meet people affected like us and be able to share experiences. I hope we helped others a bit - it certainly helped us - thank you! (Carer, 2012)
It was relaxed and informal, which after all the clinical formal stuff we’ve all been through makes a nice change. (Patient, 2011)
It would be lovely if your child could join us too for what will be a supportive, enjoyable and informative afternoon.
If you’ve any questions, email hello@brainstrust.org.uk or call us on 01983 292 405
Please RSVP at www.meetup.com/brainstrust so we can make sure there’s plenty of pizza to go round!
We hope to see you and your children there
