• Lincoln 10k Road Race with team brainstrust – 7th April

  The first City of Lincoln 10k Road Race took place in 1997 and attracted 200 runners. Since then, the race has grown in both size and presence amongst sporting event calendars. In 2011 the maximum entry level of 5,500 runners was reached.   One of the world's leading mountaineers, and brainstrust patron, Stephen Venables is to commemorate the 25th anniversary of his ascent of Everest and raise funds for our work to support UK brain tumour patients and carers.

• A day for brain tumour carers – 27th February

  We've teamed up with The Brain Tumour Charity to bring you the first ever day dedicated to brain tumour carers. 

  The day, on the 27th February, is for people who are looking after someone with a brain tumour. The programme is carefully designed with the carer at heart, and aims to:

  
  

  • Inform carers
  • Provide insight into the patient/carer journey
  • Provide opportunities to establish a supportive network
  • Support carers so that they feel valued by everyone
  • Enable carers to care well
  • Build resilience and a sense of well being in carers

  Now we know you have a really difficult job.
  
  Looking after a child with a brain tumour is like nothing else. We know how isolating it can feel, and tiresome it gets holding everything together for the family. So we’d love you to take this opportunity to meet others whose lives have been similarly touched by a brain tumour.

• Love Unplugged - Leeds – 17th November

  LOVE ART. LOVE MUSIC. LOVE UNPLUGGED.

  The Love Unplugged team is bringing together talented artists, musicians, designers and animators for an event that will raise money for brainstrust. The event includes an exhibition and music fundraiser, where the artist’s guitars will be auctioned. Love Unplugged will support one charity each year, and this year the group has chosen US!
  
  The line up of artists, and musicans is staggering, and we're honoured to be a part of this great event... click for more about this great event in Leeds on 17th November.... Event sponsors include pro-audio systems and Thornbridge brewery - so should be a good do!
