Steve's Channel Swim without a wetsuit!
7 August 2009

steve-mcmenamin-wetsuitSteve McMenamin is a brave soul! He is taking on the English Channel Swim without a wetsuit on 7 August for brainstrust. The English Channel is a unique and demanding swim, considered by many to be the ultimate long distance challenge. Known as 'The Everest of open water swimming', it is said that more people have climbed Mount Everest than have successfully swum the channel. Steve said:

My immediate reaction was to think of the large well known charities. Then I was introduced to brainstrust by my colleague Mark Shackelford. When I learned about the organization and after I met with Meg; the catalyst to the creation of the charity, I realized that to this charity my contribution could make a real difference.

If I reach my target of £1000, that's 4 lives that could be saved. A surprisingly small amount of money can make a huge impact.
