This service can provide your family with a break from the physically and emotionally exhausting around the clock task of caring for your baby or child. The care team here can help share the care of your child by making sure feeds, medicines and care routines are carried out to the routine your child knows at home. Accommodation is available for the whole family to stay if you wish. This service is usually booked for a few days in advance, however, sometimes things happen that cannot be planned such as a family crisis or a sudden deterioration in a child’s condition. On these occasions the hospice is able to help for a few nights or longer if things change and end of life care is required.
